August, heat index of 104 degrees, happy couple, beautiful venue in Walterboro, SC… all the makings of a perfect Southern Wedding. We loved capturing this amazing day for our couple, Clint & Deanna.
The decor was beautiful and the flowers were gorgeous. One thing I love about elegant Southern weddings is what I refer to as tall flowers. These are the amazing arrangements for the reception tables that are in elegant vases that are often 2-4 feet in height. I just love them! You can smell the rose scented air as you enter the venue.
The day was hot! The ceremony took place under the moss laden trees. The shade from the tree canopy gave some relief from the sun and the beautiful ceremony provided a distraction from the South Carolina late summer heat wave.
The reception was held in the venue’s beautiful event barn. While it was not air conditioned, it did have some massive fans to keep the air moving. Sweet tea and iced lemonade kept everyone hydrated and at least thinking cool thoughts.
It was the perfect late summer Southern Wedding and, after all, we love all things wedding!
